Nutrition Consulting with CPT Kristina Grogan



Exercise helps you lose fat, gain muscle, increase energy levels and makes you feel great.  But no matter how much you work out, you can't out train a bad diet.  Good nutrition is essential to support your workouts.

We can help personalize your nutritional needs in order to achieve your health goals. Working with a nutritional consultant is key to setting up and sticking to an eating plan.

Kristina Grogan provides individual nutrition consulting specific to your lifestyle and nutritional needs. She emphasizes the importance of keeping a clean diet through making specific choices that will benefit your health.

 

* Oxygen Health and Fitness members receive a free 30 minute nutrition consultation

* Nutrition plans ($50 for a one month plan)
Kristina will work with you to find out your personal nutritional needs and will determine a plan to meet your specific needs.

* Grocery store tours ($30 for a one hour tour)
Take a tour of your local grocery store with Kristina as she points out wise nutrition choices and how to help you plan your meals for the week.


EATING CLEAN
Eating clean is a lifestyle of healthy eating choices that will keep you toned and healthy.

You will eat more often. You will eat lean protein, complex carbs, and healthy fats. These practices keep your blood-sugar levels stable and keep you satisfied. Whether you want to lose, maintain or gain weight, you will feel better than ever and have more energy.


How to Eat Clean
1. Say no to refined sugars
Sugar has no nutritional value and is like poison to your body. Avoid it!
2. Fill half of your plate with vegetables
Vegetables contain fiber that keep your blood sugar levels steady and keep you feeling fuller longer.
3. Season food with spices
Instead of sauces, creams and condiments... use spices to add flavor without the calories.
4. Say no to processed foods
Whole foods maintain their nutritional value.  Try complex carbs instead such as brown rice and oats.
5. Don't skip meals
Eat small balanced meals with protein and carbs every 3 to 4 hours.
6. Learn appropriate portion sizes
Super sizing your food will also super size your waistline.
7. Eat a nutritious breakfast
Skip the sugary cereals and doughnuts! Try protein and complex carbs for breakfast to kick start your metabolism in the morning!
